Open Group Adventures
Open Group Adventures allow you to meet like minded individuals and still have an exciting, adventurous time whilst spreading the cost of the adventure across a group. These are perfect for solo adventurers or those who wish to meet and engage with folk outside of their normal cirlce. Remember, a stranger is only a friend you haven’t met yet!
Open Group Adventures could see you scale Ben Nevis, have your first wild camp, complete the Cuillin Munros, experience scrambling or learn essential winter skills.
If you dont see an adventure that suits you, or you’d rather have a private booking, with just you and your group, contact us and we will happily put on a course for you.
Skye Munros are the most challenging of all Munros. Join our experienced, qualified guides to attempt this awesome challenge.
These courses run over 3 days, in which we will attempt some of the 11 Cuillin Ridge munros, possibly including the Inaccessible Pinnacle. We find that 3 days is a manageable effort for most people and will leave you wanting more, without exhausting yourself! If you’d like to add a private day at either end of a course, to attempt to complete the whole ridge, then please let us know.
Our ratios are kept at a maximum of 1 guide to every 2 group members, with a maximum group size of 4. This ensures maximum saftey and fun.
All technical equipmet (helmets/harnesses etc) are provided, and a detailed kit list and itinerary is sent out upon booking.
The price of these courses is £495 per person.

Canoeing is the best way to travel, especially for carrying kit and equipment. They are perfectly designed for multi day adventures like the Great Glen Canoe Trial.
We are offering Group Great Glen trips for 2023, on the following dates:
- Great Glen Canoe over 5 days
May 22nd (Monday) – May 27th (Friday)
June 19th (Monday) – June 24th (Friday)
These expeditions cost £595pp and places are limited to 5. This means we can camp at smaller spots, minimise our impact and creates a great atmosphere within the group. It allows our Canoe Coaches to individualise their input and lets you get the most out of the experience.

Scrambling is a great way to explore the mountains, but it can be daunting to get started.
Join our experienced Mountaineering and Climbing Instructors who will take you on a progressive journey, introducing you to this wonderful method of travel.
Choose from either:
Rambler to Scrambler – Dip your toe into scrambling and see what it’s all about! We will embark on a mountain journey, and get to grips with scrambling terrain. This could see us use the rope, but we will concetrate on the foundations of all great moutaineers – footwork! This course will boost confidence, show you the wonderful world which is scrambling all whilst having an awesome adventure, whats not to like!? £145pp

Scrambling Improver – If you have done some scrambling, but maybe nothing too serious and you’d like to know what to do next, this could be for you. We utilise the fantastic mountains of Scotlands West coast and progress your skills to become a confident scrambler. Ratios are kept low, at 1 instructor to every 2 scramblers, to allow you to get the most from your day and your Mountaineering Instructor. £165pp

Throughout the summer we will be running taster sessions in the following activities:
- Climbing and abseiling – Tackle new heights, and take on this exciing highland adventure. Learn how to belay a partner and keep each other safe whilst at the crag.
- Scrambling – Where walking meets climbing. A full body adventure, clambering and climbing over rocks in impressive mountain terrain, the best way to explore the mountains.
These are a great way to get a taste for an activity before fully commiting to a whole day event.
They run for approximately 2 hours and we will have a morning and afternoon session most Tuesdays throughout the summer. If you’d like to arrange your own private sessions, we would be more than happy to put these on for you, just get in touch and let us know what it is you’d like to do.
Our taster sessions are open to everyone from 8 and up. If a member of your party is below 18, a legal parent or guardian must be present on the session. This means on the crag for climbing and absieling, and on the rock for scrambling.
Prices are £55 per person.

Winter is a special, somtetimes brutal place to be at the top of Britain. Under the watchful eyes of our Winter Mountain leaders, attempt a winter ascent of Ben Nevis. Find out more about a winter ascent here. Due to the demanding winter environment, children under 18 are not permitted on our winter open groups. We will happily discuss private options, so please contact us if needed.

Your Open Group Winter Skills Course can be over 1, 2 or 3 days, and are aimed at those either new to winter walking or those wanting to brush up on skills and confidence to operate safely in this most challenging of environments.
If booking one day we will focus on learning the skills that will keep you safe in winter such as:
- Kit selection
- How to put on and use crampons
- How to carry and use an ice axe
- Use the Be Avalanche Aware process to look at key places along your journey to stay safe

If booking for 2 days, one day will be spent learning and honing winter skills such as those mentioned above, while the other will be a mountain journey. Head into the Scottish winter mountains and complete a full winter day, planned and carried out by you. All under the watchful eyes of our qualified Winter Mountain Leaders.

March: Saturday 11th – 12th
Prices are £215pp
For 3 days, we can really get to grips with the technique, look in detail at navigation stratergies and possibly ascend a major peak.
These will be physically and mentally tough days, no prior experience is needed, but a good level of fitness is required as we will be on our feet for 7-8 hours a day, operating in the UK’s harshest environment. All technical equipment can be provided (Ice axe, Crampons and Helmets) and is included in the cost of the course.

February Friday 24th – Sunday 26th
