Ben Nevis Webcam
What you are looking at on the Ben Nevis Webcam?
From Your Adventure Scotland HQ, we look straight up onto the Western Flanks of Ben Nevis (1345m). This is the large mountain on the right of the screen.
The next Mountain along is Carn Mor Dearg (1220m), which has the much famed CMD arete at the end furthest away from the camera. This links Carn Mor Dearg with Ben Nevis, over a fantastic airy ridge walk.
The final mountain, on the far left of the screen, is Aonach Mor (1221m), and houses the Nevis Range Ski centre.

Useful resources for planning Your Own Adventure
The Ben Nevis Webcam is a great resource to help you plan Your Own Adventure, but it should be used in conjuction with a number of other useful resources:
Weather Forecasts
Our favourite is the Mountain Weather Information Service which provides a great overview. For a more specific summit forecast, you can look at Mountain Forecast or the Met Office.
Route Planning
Route planning is essential. We love to use paper maps and guide books, but there are some great online resources as well. These are great for some inspiration:
UK Climbing – for all your climbing needs.
Walk Highlands – good overview of routes with estimated times for ascent and descent.
Avalanche Forecast
An essentail tool in Scottish winter. The Scottish Avalanche Service provides daily avalanche forecasts across 5 main mountain areas of Scotland throughout the winter period. It’s essential to not only use these forecasts, but also understand them.
If you would like a hand with any of this, please get in touch, we are happy to help with enquiries, and if you feel like you’d benefit from some bespoke coaching or instruction, that’s what we do best!
